Yo let me tell you the only reason I didnt refund Bonelab is because this app. Bonelab out of the box is optimized poorly for Quest 2 and has plentiful stutter and lag. This totally allows me to play smoothly and also somehow the graphics look more clean ( much less aliasing ) , Its a shame SLZ couldnt figure this out for themselves but for now this app has saved the day. Thank you so much Anagan79!
Game needs a lot of work my friend. A little sad about this one. NPC private parts are horrible distortion. When trying to pick up NPC, they are too heavy, fall to the ground or disappear. Too few NPCs, most of them are hard animated so cannot interact. Gun disappears when held close to face for aiming. Environment goes blank when too close to some objects. When crouching sometimes you bounce off of map. Map is mostly empty. There is no jump button, but many obstacles. Hope more improvements are on the way. Good Luck
Been following this amazing project for a couple of years now and played the latest Applab version last night. Pure genius and thank you for your dedication and execution! its come such a long way. When I recently saw the negative reaction to space pirate's attempt at room scale, I immediately thought of this game and how it solves all of those issues, right out of the box, for those of us that have differing size plays paces. Ive experimented with Tea For God in all manner of size guardians and the game is always playable, fun and mind blowing. You will take the Oculus store by storm once word of TFG goes mainstream and out of applab. Wishing you the maximum success! Day one purchase for me. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add some various sound effects to the destruction of the robots. Right now its more of a puff of steam sound, but I would love to hear the metal parts clanking and crashing to the floor in many pieces upon their demise. Cheers!
Amazing! The dog fights, the bombing and strafing runs, the co op, multiplayer....Just wow. I love to see indie devs like this doing what big devs claim cant be done. This is shaping up to be THE AAA flying combat game for Quest. My one suggestion would be to beef up the sound fx just a tad. Overall volume is very low (Edit: only with oculus speakers, with headphones its plenty loud )for war lol and I would love to hear the wind whistling and also that death siren sound planes make in the movies when they are plummeting. Thats all I have to offer in terms of criticism. Keep up the incredible work and Bravo!
Hi Yucci, I switched to weapons on body option and the weapon selection is as good as any vr shooter, just throw them on the ground when you want to grab another one and the old gun will respawn on you again. It will make your combat so much more fluid. i never used grenades when I had to pull up the menu for them. now i just pull one off my waist and use them constantly. Two hip placements, one on your lower back and two shoulder placements.
I just played Crashland for ten minutes, then requested a refund. Crashland has no co op, no vehicles, no robots, drones, tanks , no turrets for the player to jump on... no different guns, reloading , no jumping, no posts to fortify or defend, no objects or structures in the environments... just a single player old school wave shooter with no real content to keep you playing beyond ten minutes. Guardians is also priced lower! Guardians kicks the crap out of Crashland's gameplay IMHO.
Def what I think would add the most is a heartbeat going in the background like when you plug your ears and thats all you hear. Could be a great indicator of health status too as it beats faster the closer you get to death. Also the gun sound effects and bullets desperately need something sound wise. I love the waves coming off the bullets and wish they would woosh as they went by. A way to block bullets with sword would be cool too. Some ragdoll would be cool so bad guys dont always crumple in the same way but I dont know how much that would tax the games framerate, which is fine until there is more than one enemy and then it can get a little choppy. Snappy lines for the female protagonist....I dont know what else so far but please keep up the excellent work! Really excited to see where this goes!
Wow I only follow you here on ITCH and I thought the pandemic had wiped you out! So happy to see that Dungeon train is not dead :D Went to discord, but didnt find any downloadable builds. Is it any different than the last Sidequest release ( bioms )? Anyways, ill be checking in again daily for updates on this project. Cant wait!
The animated NPCs produce very interesting and fun action when placed against the ragdoll NPCs. Something you should look into some more, it really adds to it. looked like a proper orgy going on lol great work, good framerate too. Would love more vocalizations for all the characters in your games in general. Its more immersive and creates atmosphere. just my two cents as usual :)
