Sorry for the late reply. Most of it has been due to real-life issues including personal electrosensitivity, which has forced me to change my device setup in order to continue developing.

I actually resumed development on Shape Shooter a few days ago--it needs a lot of fixes. After that's done and released, I'll dig into V.E. and try getting the IDE issue fixed. People say it doesn't work on their systems anymore--I hope that's not because I switched to Ubuntu and no longer use Windows.

Either way, don't expect major feature additions on either project--I'm just doing the bare minimum needed to keep both projects from falling into severe obsolescence.

It's good to know people are still interested in these projects though--hopefully that'll help me pull through in these tough times. Thanks for dropping in.

Other users have complained of the project not working over the last several months. I've tried to figure out why before, but I'm not sure at this point if the issue is even in the game's code or if it's from dependencies. I've basically given up due to computer stress--you'll have to figure out what's broken yourself at this point. Sorry about that.

Where did you get stuck?

The project has to be opened with an IDE for now--one of these should work:
https://netbeans.apache.org/download/nb112/nb112.html
https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download/#section=windows
One of my assistants has assured me they'll start working on fixing the game-launcher by the end of this year, to prevent such trouble going forward.

We used to have a launcher for the game that was much more user-friendly, but it stopped working. As of now, running the game can be a challenge--sorry if you're having problems running it.

Did you read the game's documentation/readme fully? Be sure to have the main folder extracted before trying to open it in Netbeans.

Also, when opening in Netbeans, make sure not to select the cover folder with the date on it. The folder inside it (titled "The Vehicular Epic") is the one that should be opened.

So in summary, in Netbeans, try File > Open Project and find the "The Vehicular Epic" folder that was extracted. Then go to Run > Run Project (the F6 key should also do the same).

It will be fixed when my assistant who designed it can get back to it and fix it, which, unfortunately, may be never.
The launch instructions for the project are updated in new releases. The project should work if opened with an IDE.

Yes--there is no Rocket King or classic cars and tracks.
That was NfM RaR content. This is a new project--not bound to that era.

Out of curiosity--are you asking this because the current version doesn't run (well) on your system?

I don't give out older versions anymore--for various reasons. Sorry.

Thanks for telling me. Can you send the exception to me so I can review the issue? It should be in the game's main folder as "V.E. EXCEPTION"
