Thanks very much!

...funnily enough, I hadn't even thought about how similar they are until I saw this comment, but... they kinda are, huh? I guess "unknown force subconsciously compelling you to go to a place and die there" is bouncing around in my head a lot. hmm.

Thanks!

Thank you!

Thanks!

Some of the dialogue differs based on what you choose but it's not a major change. The ending is more or less the same.

In godot it's a control node I made for this that generates NinePatchRects with text labels and the arrow sprites as children. I wrote a dialogue manager class that handles all the dialogue and spawns the UI nodes to show the dialogue

Thank you so much! :)

Thanks! :)

Thank you so much!

Thanks! I'm making more horror games, for sure! Every game I make kind of ends up with its own art style based on how it looks in my head when I'm coming up with the concept, and so far they've all been very different from each other. I might do something else that looks like this, if I have an idea that matches it. But the next few ideas I want to work on are also all in their own unique styles

Thanks! I am mainly interested in doing solo work, but thanks and good luck

Thanks!

oh dang, thank you. I love Night in the Woods, and this game is definitely a little bit inspired by it

Thanks so much! I look back fondly at candypink, and I like seeing how much I've been able to improve since then  :) Thanks for playing!

Yeah, that's the end of the game! There is really only one ending, with slightly different dialogue depending on what you chose to do.

This was made in Godot, it's an open-source game engine. It's relatively easy to pick up and there are lots of tutorials available online

yes, it's about chronic pain. (at least it is in my mind, as well)
thanks for playing! I'm really glad you enjoyed it

this is the goal, thank you :)

thanks :)

Really good!! The stealth aspect is very stressful (in a good way).

Very cool, I like the aesthetic of this a lot. nice stuff

hey thank you for playing! it's nice to see it resonate with people

thank you, that was what I was going for, that recovery is a process that you have to work at, and it's ok to still have those negative feelings inside you even if you're trying to get better, that even if things are bad eventually you can get to a place in your life where you feel ok and it's ok to accept help... or something like that. thank you for playing :)

thanks for this kind comment :)

(also side note - since you mentioned audio issues and you're on Godot - it recently broke for Windows 10 + Chrome when the bitrate of the game doesn't match the device bitrate. it's broken all my Godot games too :') hope people don't give you a rough time about it. always happy to see others on Godot!)

Ok, this is fantastic. And the music is amazing. I also really like the touch with what I assume are the credits. Really nice stuff all around :)

thank you! I appreciate it
