Good question: At first this project was supposed to be a joke/light-hearted VN where you romance Rou but the narrative and direction of the project shifted dramatically in the past 2 years. We ultimately decided to keep it as Rou since we already had a lot of assets and material drawn/developed.

There are plans to have multiple routes/endings.
