We would just like to say thanks for playing our game. We are impassioned gamers that just want to make the same games our kid selves would have wanted, and so we genuinely appreciate all of your feedback, input, comments, and just active playing of our games. Thank you very much.

The game looks and sounds incredible.

It's tough to 'play' or figure out 'how to play' in regards to the way enemies charge away too quickly.

Overall freakin' gorgeous.

Perfect.

I love the crystals.

I love the use of a mirror to assist the player with the perspective issue.

The drop down (raycast) mesh position check for spawning a prefab is really clever.

It doesnt feel like much of a game.

There's no sound.

The score seems thrown on as an aside- not really 'important.'

Overall this is a cool project, but I don't think it's a very good "game".

The Diamond Pickaxe is an excellent easter egg. Overall the game is simple, but you managed to create a perfect little "score attack challenge."

This would be perfect with a single-button joystick (think Atari 2600)!

The "meta" of trying to push yourself to a higher score by moving at direct angles is actually fun to play with.

I like your little robot! :)

Awesome game!

Love the setting / design- the underground russian train system idea is wacky, but definitely appropriate. Love it!

Gameply was super easy to 'pick up and go', and I'm really glad you made it super simply to just hop back in and keep playing after each death.

Difficulty curve is perfect, and I love that it doesn't just "start over at the beginning", but rather continues in the tunnel from exactly where you died.

Overall great work, the only thing bringing a star down is the lack of SFX. I would have liked something like a motor "put-put", train "whoosh"-ing by, and a collision... I would say if you had these then music would not even be necessary.

Good

  • I love the 3D pillar artwork- the depth is really neat and the way the texture is layered on is a great aesthetic.
  • Reminds of South Park, but in a great light-hearted way.
  • I love that it's very reminiscent of classic aRPG's (like Gauntlet, etc.)
  • Intro is awesome- it's always great to have exposition

Adjustments:

  • faster - Enemies move slow, game is overall slow, thus "easy"
  •  ramping difficulty curve - it looks like it doesn't really get "harder"... you've just been playing longer
  • More enemy types / combat techniques, etc
  • Prevent enemies from going through walls
  • Make "leveling up" more apparent- it's hard to tell what actually happens after you spend your upgrade point

Overall: Great entry to all game jam! I'd definitely play other jam games you make!
