Thanks! Yeah, I kinda overscoped the idea and didn't manage to add all the stuff I wanted to make it more coherent and intuitive XD lessons learned I guess

Cool idea and execution:) a bit too hard for me though

Congrats on finishing the game and matching the theme of the jam:)

Liked the theme, but it took me some time until I figured out how to play

Hey thanks for playing:)

Regarding frame rate - you can set the graphics quality in Pause Menu (varies from Potato to Ultra quality - you will surely find the option that fits you best).

I'm big fan of storytelling by the environment - and I plan to convey some interesting story in that manner.

Also, thanks for kind words - I appreciate it!

Hey, thanks for reporting the bug. It's fixed in 0.7.0 version - which you can download here. Enjoy!:)

hey everyone! Another big update for Turbo Island Purger: YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT HERE

I've made lots of adjustments and smaller bug fixes, as well as some balancing.

Also, finally had some time to add new features:

  • destructible environment objectspalm trees and poles which can fall and deal damage as well as explosive barrels which, well, explode
  • each biome has it's world map: you will decide which way to go and what to encounter: whether it's an enemy choice, standard combat with enemies or visiting a shop

Hope you like it and have a good time!

Piotr

I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you for kind words! I'm glad you liked it:)

Yeah, unfortunately I'm unable to support Linux at the moment. But it will be supported in the future - so stay tuned!

hey everyone! I've just released new big update - version 0.4.0 - YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT HERE

This build offers a short demo which pretty much shows how the game will play in the final version.

Please note that it is an early version of the game. Overall look of characters, items etc. will be refined in the future.

Current build's content:

  •  14 wearable items
  • 12 weapons
  • 3 types of supporting drones
  • 7 enemies (which can mix together into some troublemaking badasses)
  • 2 bioms (6 levels each)
  • 2 boss fights - one at the end of each biom

As always, have fun!

Hey, as I mentioned before - I am currently focusing on developing core game experience and cannot support your controller (but it's on my TODO list and will be done in the future).

Regarding your settings issue: if you are on Windows, you can go and delete all the content from this folder C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\LocalLow\WolkGames\

If you are on Mac, go to ~/Library/Preferences folder,  and delete a file named unity.WolkGames.TurboIslandPurger.plist

It should clear the saved graphic settings

Well it's strange, because I've removed config popup in the last update (v 0.3.1).

Unfortunately, I'm not able to support your controller at the moment - but it's on my TODO list and will be fixed in future updates.

Hey, thanks for reporting

By the 'config window' do you mean Unity's config window which pops up after you run the game?

Also, what kind of gamepad do you use? I've tested Playstation and Xbox controllers so far - both worked well.

hey, yeah the bug will be fixed in tomorrow's update

Haha congrats on reaching loop 4!

Thanks for kind words and for reporting a bug

hey everyone! I've just released new major update - version 0.3.0. If  you have any suggestions and/or have found some bugs, you can post it here https://dobre.itch.io/turbo-island-purger/community.

For a full list of changes, visit my devlog: https://dobre.itch.io/turbo-island-purger/devlog/80349/major-update-ver-030.

I have also created a short footage, so you can check that out aswell:

Please note that the game is still in a very early stage and is constantly updated.

Have fun!

First bosses will be added in next updates - stay tuned :) Current game's goal (to survive 15 days) is only temporary.

The purpose of first couple of updates is to make sure that all the basic mechanics are rock-solid - so that there will be no problems in later development.

Hey BLUE, thanks for posting! I'll look into the bugs after tomorrow's update. And here are some answers:

Nuts & Bolts Indicator - it indicates how much metal you have collected from destroyed robots. After each level, there is a chance for a shop to appear in corridor between islands. Here you can spend your metal on items, drones and health. The shop is guaranteed to appear every 3 corridors - or 2 if you are lucky. So the shop didn't appear at all till the Day 6?

Gameplay - the central area of the map will be populated with things like destructable cars and other environmental objects that can be used for player's advantage. It will be added in the future as I am currently making sure that core gameplay is rock-solid. So that I won't have any unpleasant surprises in development later on.

And yes, I plan to set up a Discord channel in near future - it will be announced in Update Log, so stay tuned.

Thanks for letting me know.

So the game didn't start at all? Or it did start but was running very slow?  What are your PC's specs?

Did you encouner any bugs? This is the place where you can share them with me!

When posting a bug report, please provide as much detailed information as possible - it will help me to figure out the underlying problems.

Thanks!

Hey, unfortunately I won't be able to fully support Linux at the moment. Instead, you can try to use PlayOnLinux in order to launch Windows version on Linux. Let me know if that (temporary) solution works for you
