im so glad i found this! retro-style point-and-click games are genuinely one of my most favorite kind of games ever. in love with the art style, characters, and overall premise and i hope to play more amazing games like this from the creator in the future 😊

not even kidding, this has to be one of if not *the* best IF games ever created. the sheer amount of choice we get, the spectacular lore and world-building, the complex  and carefully created characters with overlapping motivations and stories, the overall realness and depth of the story--OH MY GOODNESS IM IN LOVE 😭🙏🏼 i cannot even begin to say how much i adore this game. i played part of it a year ago and just came back to replay and see what was new and it still astounds me every time how good it is. the story's got me utterly *hooked* and i'm super excited for more to come out in the future! 😊💖

i remember playing cube escape back in elementary, when flash still existed, and immediately falling in love--rusty lake's what got me in the horror point-and-click genre in the first place. so, so grateful that these games are still being produced and hope they keep being released in the future! 😊💖

AFDSFDAFDSA the writing and premise are so deliciously written omg this is genuinely one of the most beautiful IF stories i've ever read as a long-time fan of the genre 😭🙏🏼  the interactions with umr had me *giggling*--you really did a wonderful job of making such a detailed character with so many different layers of his personality. i found myself conflicted on whether or not i should hate or trust // submit to or defy him, and i found that inner struggle incredibly enjoyable! it was really as if he was a living, breathing person instead of just a written character, someone i am curious in figuring out in later chapters.

one thing i will say though, is that some choices didn't really convey the emotion i was expecting from the wording. i can't name any specific examples but i remember picking one or two dialogue options and being like 'oh, my character's smirking. it was supposed to be said sarcastically??' but maybe that's just me and it was such a little part of my experience and didn't detract from the quality of the writing in any way.

this game is so creative and wonderful im in love omg 😍 replayed twice to pull both levers and get 100% completion lol, can't wait for the game to be available in Steam! ❤

love how well-written this is!  got almost all of the endings and was pleasantly surprised by the fifth one. i've been trying for half an hour and i still can't get ending 4 😭 any hints would be appreciated!

edit: i just found it! apparently i kept using the bomb first instead of the stones which kept getting me to ending 1 😅

great demo so far! wish there were more choices to piss them off in the car tho lmao. can't wait for the next update!

i love this story so so much omg--it's one of my favorite IF's on here, the writing is absolutely wonderful, i love how much choice we get, and the characters are incredibly well-written. 

something that i just wanted to point out is during cirern's first lecture in the scavenger route, one of the options is unclickable and looks like: [[“Someone I knew...she seemed to have made a deal with those witches in the forest. Before you came."|Chap1treasquestionask]]

and when you click “Do you have any questions for me?” something that looks like [Error: cannot find a closing tag for HTML <ul>] pops up, but you can still read the response.

omg i love this so much! the writing is superb, the characters are well-written and it really does immerse you in the story and make you feel what the characters must be feeling. 

one thing i will say tho is that chapter one kind of frustrated me; I wanted more choice to be angrier at all of them 😭 MC was too nice and didn't lash out enough imo. i definitely would've reacted very differently if i was forced to be in close proximity with the same people who killed my family at nine years old. 

but that's just me and i loved the story either way. can't wait for the next update!

This was a wonderful experience. I loved how much choice we got in the Empress' choices and how every action had a clear consequence. The petitions were engaging, the artwork is spectacular, and the overall format of the game is *chef's kiss*. Can't wait to play the full game in the future! 🥰

Hey! I revisited this game after a year for another playthrough (still as amazing from when I first played it ^^) and was wondering if Amalgam was still in the works? I'm sorry if this is a repetitive / annoying question -- I don't mean to bother, really, but I was just so excited after discovering the possibility of a sequel (started simping after Alan HARD after PFM: Dating Game lmao). Please don't feel pressured to answer!

On a side note, I recently played through the demo of Fool me Once and your writing and worldbuilding is superb as always (you're genuinely my favorite IF author on this platform 💖)

Loved the writing and the art but I felt like the main character already had a pre-established personality that I couldn't really identify with haha. Good character development, I just couldn't relate to some of the choices they made. I guess I'm more drawn to branching routes based on choices, establishing personality instead of the usual right / wrong choice. Still very nice concept, writing, and art!

OH MY GOD 

this is literally the best game on itch.io, no joke. the author's writing style is ABSOLUTELY delightful and Reed's route had me giggling and kicking my feet for literally FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT (I binged the game because it was just so good 😫). I loved the snarky banter between Reed (or should I say, Alcide—really loved the meaning of the name and the snippets of Italian in the story :3) and the MC, the visuals were utterly stunning, and I adored seeing the miniscule changes in expression in the characters; it really added to the story overall. 

Thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU, author for creating this wonderful game. I plan on replaying and getting all of the endings but I just had to leave a comment because of how blown away I was by Perfumare. I am now an avid fan of your games and can't wait to play more of yours in the future! ^^

This game is absolutely AMAZING - I'm in love with Z's character and the back-and-forth. The art is gorgeous and the voice acting is wonderful. I haven't found the hidden ending yet, but I have been replaying it for a while. Could I get a hint please? ^^
