Cute graphics, a little tough, but enjoyed the theme of "limited". I am bad at video games, so it was a little tough for my to syphon energy and dodge the bullets at the same time.
Only thing I think is missing is a cute death animation :3
Art style reminded me of alien hominid, Dan Paladin type stuff. A lot of people did bullet collecting mechanics for the Limited theme, I really felt this one did it one the best. Controls felt a little floating to me, either I'm too jittery or was moving into enemy fire too easily.
Great music choice as well.
I like these meaty shooters, fun and addictive, this is what game jams is about.
I don't know if it's a me problem but the game wasn't at the right resolution, I don't think I was able to see the whole game space because whenever I got the upgrade screen the right and left upgrade panels were cut off.
Once the enemies really started coming the game hit a big slowdown and my computer couldnt handle anymore, too bad was really enjoying it and look forward to more!
I've been rating games all day, how is it that each time someone has a great new interesting concept?!
Love this one, great GBA style graphics, nice snappy movement and a fresh concept to use the enemy blasts against each other. Positioning really matters in this game and this is a lot of fun!
However I didn't really understand the UI as far as how and when I could dive, sometimes it did and didn't work?
Great theme and looks like A LOT of levels and work was put into this. This is more mechanically heavy than most game jam games which is amazing to see! my only comment is that R+G+B+Black is a lot of colors for the character to switch through in an intense gameplay situation. All in all this gave me real Ikaruga vibes.
During first day of the game jam I had a similar idea to this one, glad we didn't go with it because you really made the concept shine. This game has it all and is tough but fair as far as gameplay goes. Out of all the games in the jam so far this one looks closest to an official release. Also gives me that geometry war nostalgia.
I love the music, I don't know if the music was supposed to be synced with the gameplay but it really seemed like it was. Art was nice and a refreshing style + theme. I had trouble knowing if I was progressing in the game or what to do, eventually I got all the bars and numbers to run to zero but it didn't seem to trigger anything.
