Thanks! I think I've said this before a couple times, but that's something I'll have to see the possibilities of closer to release. Until then, I'll be prioritizing Windows.

Everything in the game has to work together to as a full final package. If I kept all the old stuff the same, it wouldn't work well with the new stuff. It may feel strange at first when things change during development, but could you imagine how strange it would be, especially to a brand new player, if the character designs, art style, and vocal style of the whole game suddenly changed after the first few stages while playing the final game itself? I'm glad you had so much fun with the test demo, but I never really intended for people to get so attached to it, hence why I've always been clear to say everything's "Subject to change in final".
Feeling less connected to something because you aren't as used to it is a textbook case of nostalgia. You have memories and feelings associated with the version you played that you naturally wouldn't have with one you're not as familiar with, and that's okay. No matter how good something is, the "special flavor" is something you have to find in it with new memories and experiences.
If you want to recapture that old feeling, the old demo's still playable, but if I wanna make the game I truly want to, I have to be able to move forward. Either way though, thanks for your support! :)
Glad you like the game! Sorry, but to avoid confusion and clutter, once the game comes out, only the final versions of each song will be included on streaming services; Meaning most of the '23 demo songs will likely be replaced on there as well. Getting that stuff up there is enough of a hassle as-is, so dealing with all those different versions of the songs would just be too much.
So glad you liked it! Sorry about the lag you experienced in Sidechain Fever, the way I handled the Beans' textures in the demo led to some strange performance inconsistencies between different computers. Behind the scenes though, I think I've figured it out and hopefully it won't be an issue for you in the full game. Thanks!
Not sure if there's anything I can do about your controller's input delay unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be an issue for the controllers I've done testing with (Xbox One, Switch Pro, and Dualshock 4), but I'll try to look into it when I can. If I may offer advice for double lines as of now, try to remember that the icon always just moves down to the next line as soon as it reaches the end of the first one. Thanks for the thorough feedback!
Thanks for the feedback!! I believe the issues you had with the resolution happens when you forget to hit "Apply" after setting them, and the controller issue happens because the demo currently can only detect Switch Pro Controllers through wireless for some reason, which will make Steam Input read it as an Xbox controller to make it compatible. The icons being switched in the menu under this particular situation seems to be an oversight I missed while suiting that layout for the "Auto" layout option. I'm glad you were able to have a good time regardless!
The minimum system requirements I've written are just the system specs that I'm currently aiming for the game to be playable on. It could possibly be functional on systems below those specs anyway, but at the moment I don't plan to test it on specs that low. Honkai Star Rail is a mobile game, so of course they aim their system requirements to be lower. Either way, optimization is still being worked on, this demo was mostly for testing the gameplay mechanics themselves.
Try reading this guide from the devlog, hopefully it should help. https://lj-lephemstar.itch.io/scratchin-melodii/devlog/653636/scratchin-melodii-...
Check the title screen to see if it says "V1.031" in the top left. If not, your S ranks will only show on the menu if your highest score was an S rank. V1.031 changed this so it would save your rank separately from your score, but if you're still having issues after switching to the latest version be sure to let me know!
There seems to be some confusion here about when the next demo will release. So allow me to clarify, it is not coming today and I never said that it would be coming today. I said it was postponed to later this year. Read the recent devlog for more info, thank you. https://lj-lephemstar.itch.io/scratchin-melodii/devlog/586578/progress-checkup-s...
Ah sorry, the funk value during the song is technically counting a different value from the one in the results screen, haven't gotten around to renaming and/or putting them back to the same value yet. Just know you aren't missing out on any points! The missing points just redistributed themselves to the other values in the final results.
Hello! It sounds like you have Steam running in the background, sometimes its input interferes with the game, so you should either make sure it's not running or go into Steam controller settings and uncheck "PlayStation Configuration". There are other possible solutions on this page's troubleshooting section as well. I hope this solves your problem!
