If you talk to Bosch and Yua in the ruins of Viree it should trigger the scene to teleport to Trout's house; however, there is a nasty bug that can cause it not to trigger, as well as the houses not loading correctly.

The Wind Shaman is located in one of the castle towers within Wyndia.

Thank you! I will definitely check yours out for inspiration as well!

Thank you for your kind words! I hope I don't disappoint.

I haven't had this error reported before. Is this happening as soon as you open the game?

Awesome! I hope to expand upon them to make them better in the next patch.

I greatly appreciate you giving the game a try! You need to go to Bannon (east of Simafort) to speak with Taiga to start that story chain. This will allow you to speak to the guard in Wyndia regarding the Great Bird. Once inside the castle your dialogue choices will allow Mina to join or not to join. Also, their companion quest will be in Tunlan.

Thank you, I needed to hear that today!

I really appreciate those kind words. I hope you have a good holiday as well!

I highly recommend playing the original game or the retranslation mod before playing this version as this is not a 1 to 1 remake.

This version is quite buggy and is in a constant state of being worked on so while you can technically beat it from start to finish it has a lot of issues/bugs currently. The original or retranslation mod will be a much better experience for you as a player, as version 5.0 is still some time before completion.

I am really glad to hear it!

Keep up the good work!

I greatly appreciate your kind words. While 4.1b is a buggy mess, I have been working as much as I can between jobs to try and finish the project. The community has overwhelming been supportive and giving me constructive feedback; I feel really good about the upcoming changes.

1. Right now I am just focusing on completing the game; however, at that point I am open to the community helping with translations.

2. My plan is to remake Breath of Fire I (Breath of Fire: Bloodlines) once this game is fully completed; however, I have no plans on working on any of the remaining Breath of Fires as there are more skilled developers for that sort of project(s).

While working on this game, I am being careful to ensure there is continuity in the story and world for both games. All the systems and gameplay used in this project will be the same ones I use for Breath of Fire I: Bloodlines.

3. Because this is a fan project, I cannot accept any donations for its creation. If you want to support me as an indie dev, feel free to look at my other project. You can either purchase or donate there.

Again, thank you for your kind words, and I hope I don't disappoint!

Thank you for the update. Keep up the good work and don't give up!

I appreciate it!

I appreciate it! You as well!

Thank you!

2 and 1 are my favorite as well. I plan on doing a remake for 1, but I think the rest I will leave to someone else.

Just a heads up 4.1 is a bit of a buggy mess. The current version I am working on will be a much better experience but will take some time for me to finish it.

Breath of Fire IV was just updated to the gog.com store, but I agree that an official remaster or new game is long overdue.

I appreciate your kind words!

Thank you! I hope the quality of my game will be up there to inspire Capcom. The previous version was a bit of a buggy mess but this version will have all this feedback influencing it so I hope I don't disappoint.

I greatly appreciate your encouragement!

Thank you for your kind words!

Thank you!

Thank you! I hope to have more updates soon.

That is a bug I have not seen in 4.1, nor has anyone reported it. I have overhauled the armor system in the current patch I am working on; however, going to look to make sure the bug did not transfer over.  I am sorry for the trouble. It might possibly be a glitch with a Talent (Dragon Guardian Talent specifically), try resetting your Talent Points or if the dragon form is glitched (try transforming, then use the Revert ability).

The controller needs to be plugged in before the game starts. If it is plugged in after, it won't register it.

Glad you are liking it! The game does have full controller support (including camera control) with the ability to rebind the keys for the controller and keyboard. The only issue with the controller not working fully, is within the card game.

Thank you for those kind words!

Currently focusing on PC only and will visit mobile later. That being said people have gotten the game to work on mobile and Steam Deck.

Appreciate the feedback! The plan is to have the main quest, but also optional side and character quests.

Thank you for your kind words! I am doing my best.

I appreciate your insight on it as I have been debating with myself to use them or not. I would like to use a portrait for every character. That would require some repeats for basic NPC/townsfolk, but also some sprite editing to match the portraits. I would have to do some work to change hair colors, etc to make NPC/townsfolk look a little different.

We are in agreeance about using A.I assets; I am making sure I avoid using any A.I asset. My goal is to only use assets from BOF 1-6. The portraits are actually from Breath of Fire, 6 and I am editing them as needed by hand. While the BOF 6 was a massive failure, it still has some Breath of Fire assets I'm hoping I can repurpose.

I also appreciate you sharing your thoughts on using portraits or not, as I was fighting with myself to use portraits or not for dialogue.

Thank you! In the original game the Dragon Tear is supposed to be a pendant, so I was tinkering how to incorporate it as one in the UI instead of it just being placed over a dialogue box.  I'm hoping to have the entire UI updated to match (graphically) the dialogue box.

Thank you, I hope I don't disappoint!

Thank you!

When the game is 100% completed I would love to see this project in multiple languages.

Labyrinth Hearts II was already pulled from itch.io about 6 months ago.

This is Labyrinth Hearts I, which is not being delisted.
