Hello everyone! My name is Julián, or Jules if that's easier for you. I am a Mexican TTRPG designer who makes casual projects for game jams. I'm interested in tabletop game design, layout and writing. Unfortunately, English is my second language and I can only go as far when writing TTRPGs. I often start with a Spanish version and then make a rough translation to English. I am currently looking for someone who could check on that rough translations and help me to make it better, clearer and mostly correct.

My next project is a small game (No longer than 3 pages) about a supernatural government department and Evil eye. The Spanish document is already finished, I should've finished the English version in a few days. The game would be uploaded to this Game Jam: https://itch.io/jam/superstition-ttrpg-game-jam

You can find my work on my Itch.io page: https://jules-ampere.itch.io/

If you are interested in working with me, feel free to reply to this thread or send me a DM on Discord (username: julesampere).

In my mind, yes they are different beings. Depends on the setting you are playing in. I make a separate division between gods and eldritch creatures. You might call them gods or deities if you want.

I do think of them as primordial gods that came before human entities became deities. Either that, or they are the secret architects of our reality while tradicional gods are aspects of it.

Also, thanks for the notes, I'll make sure to correct that.

Thank you for the comment! I'll try answering your questions.

TOTEMAI is intentionally designed with a lot of vagueness in its prompts and tables.

When you deactivate the idol, you roll the number of d6s it added to your roll. Pass a 3 in this case is intended to mean a greater number than 3. When rolling the d6s, every dice should pass a 3 for the user to avoid consequences.

Lastly, you are right. A setting or additional info would help a lot, but at the same time I wanted people to create their own mythos however they wished.

I hope you both enjoy it! Sorry if this comment is a bit rough to read, English is not my first language.

My next project is a set of modular rules regarding the use of Totems to connect with eldritch beings. Half of the Spanish document is already finished, I should've finished that version in a few days.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it

I like the idea of an expansion on nowpunk

I really dig the vibe of this one. I'll get a group together to try it out next week

Congrats!

Awesome!

I am thinking on making an extremely small TTRPG or a monster generator or compendium. Would that be allowed?

I finished the game! Since your work is basically what inspired me and gave a sort of template to experiment with, I want to show it to you. Let me know if you like it!

That is at the same time extremely beautiful and terrifying. I love it!

I'm glad you like it! What animal did your beast appeared like?

Thanks!! If you do, please tell me what you think. I hope you like it!

Hey, I really dig the vibe for this game. Would you be open to have a Spanish translation?? If the answer yes, I would love to help.

This was my first time publishing and submitting something to a jam, I can only tell you what I did.

I recommended, shared and promoted my game everywhere I could. Twitter, Discord Servers, Reddit, Facebook, friends and family without asking if they know what a TTRPG is, other creators that were willing to check me out. I tried to be as modest and less invasive as possible in the process and my game is doing decently.

I don't know if you did something like that.

I love this so much, the vibe and game cycle feel like something I need in my most stressful times in college. I got inspired by your and Jack Harrison Work to make my own game, this is great and I really appreciate the spanish version

I love this!! Really charming, honestly and with enough complexity to be replayable. I like this a lot!!
