The text speed setting does not have any effect. I have it set at max but it is still so slow. I read quickly and waiting for the slooowww cursor (especially when the entire message is “. . .”) makes a great story a slough.
I still remember the missing animations that tormented me in the EE for Karin. (Mostly because I wanted to see Chris lol. But at least the main-story gallery images for those two were available.

I really want to praise the background/accompanying music selection! Never really expected banjo to pop up (much less fit so well). This whole VN is top notch
The functionally immersive utility of a few well timed and expertly executed face scrunches, rapid blinking, and light blushes never ceases to impress.
Also impressive (in a different way) is that i’ve only woken up my husband twice with gleeful squeaking and hooting at the screen lol
Words aren’t coming that easily as I try to write this comment so just know there are many things left unsaid, all good, but difficult to write.
I played through a few times–each time going to Daren not Ted after the outburst so I never knew what Jeffry’s diagnosis was (in story). At the same time I’ve never (evar) felt as close to a MC before and my spidey sense was telling me BPII which is what I live with IRL. Having just chosen to go to Ted instead of Daren and find that out in-game really put me through it, tears for all of the best reasons. Thank you for such a thoughtful portrayal of not only someone with BPII, but also a nuanced life and cast of characters who are (if not in-the-know specifically) understanding and caring for their friend. Even just a VN like this is enough to make the world feel a little less lonely and make some struggles feel less insurmountable.
Deserves 5 stars, but since it has been dropped... 5 stars but also a frowning emoji.
This visual novel was a truly captivating and immersive experience. The story was engaging and accomplished what few others have for me: throw a hefty amount of text at you (with little sprite movement relative the length of conversation) and not have me notice until round 3 getting through the initial routes. The two most universe-building lore-heavy sequences have no choices, and almost no sprite movement but it didn't matter. It is unfortunate that the energy spent creating won't enjoy resolution.
The characters were well-developed and relatable. The worldbuilding--which for any VN can be a challenge, but for one like this that introduces fundamental changes to the fabric of the _practical_ universe it can be tedious at best or skull-numbing torture at worst--is accomplished as nimbly as a top class Raven. Imagine ELI5-ing LoTR with the level of detail for daily-use application of magic that comes with Harry Potter; sounds hard right? Now do it in an hour and make sure none of it feels like information overload. Also throw in some quality smut-adjacent content. That's even harder (heh). It is impressive to say the least.
I loved the concept of exploring a brand new world of magic and encountering all sorts of unique and interesting beings. The level of detail about the simple mechanics of the world (think "how would a one-size-fits-all-species toilet work" level of detail).
Unique and (as much as they could be) fully fleshed-out starting paths almost makes the abrupt end worse. Overall, I highly recommend this visual novel to anyone who enjoys both fun furry romps in magic-land as well as feelings of loss.
It's truly sad that TDA is no longer being developed. It had so much potential and left me wanting more. It's a shame that we'll never get to see the full potential of this VN. I would be delighted to be wrong about this.
Given the radio silence, it is hard to know what happened, I hope the dev is ok. Regardless of how much it stinks to have another VN to add to my unfinished-tails folder it sucks more to left guessing if the artist is doing ok because this is challenging work.
I think you're correct about the morning trek being Mikko. One of the lines seems intended to throw you off that conclusion though -- but I noticed the wildly different voice of that character's inner thoughts since they do not seem in line with the MC. That along with having no alarm set when Arvo awakes, the floor being damp, and how specifically whomever he saw in the other bed is not mentioned by name. There's a lot to theorycraft around him. Arg I'm simultaneously glad I discovered this VN at this stage because it will draw out the enjoyment with a paced story with the bonus of many replays allowing each character to be understood and revisited through each route. The subtle dialogue variations introduced due to the choices made make this one of the most detailed VNs (if not the most). The facial expressions that didn't make sense in earlier runs make sense (and some tears lol) after joining them for a while in their story.
Amazing story that pulled me in quickly without feeling rushed. Natural characters in a world of the perfect amount of tropes, fitting and visual-pleasing art, so many things are well-executed here. Many thanks for what you have created and shared with us.
I was expecting but not really focused on the nsfw aspect (honestly, the scalie aspect gave me pause before I started-not much thankfully & hot damn am I glad I left that foolishness in the past lol) Came for the story and appreciated the smut far more than expected. I was in the feels so much that I felt betrayed! In a good way 😄 I'll be spamming- [F5] in the corner while re-evaluating some things until update.
Refreshing (in an unpleasant but not unenjoyable way) was the deftly navigated line that kept me annoyed at the MC for some of the internal dialogue and choices made that are plot not player driven, but never enough to break immersion or cross the threshold of not wanting to continue.
tl;dr: tToF is a VN showcase of precision in execution at the highest grade.
I see this is build 0.9 but I hope that 1.0 doesn't mean the end of the line as this story is super cute.
I think I just glitched my LIFE! I found a way to.....over play Repeat😭😭😭 and now I think I know what Echo's 'center' is. This is resetting the ceiling of my ugly-cry lol.
I came for the smut (😏hehe) stayed for the story 🥹 (then a few more rounds for the smut, story, etc.) I'm not the same person I was before this VN and given the chance I'd do it again.
[edit] fml, just hit the part where Echo is telling the story of how he came to be and I'm increasingly certain of the PC's unfulfilled wish (and 10 times worse off for it😭 ). This story is beautiful. If my guess is wrong--which I fervently do hope--
