Awesome job! 2:38 has been the WR limit for a while now but hopefully somone can find some improvements that I have yet to find.

As of right now while this change makes 2:39 easier and to a lesser extent 2:38, it still isn't enough. I have tried many combinations now and still nothing. While I think it helps for consistency I am starting to feel less confident about time save. Still have more things to test but I just struggle to figure out how to get what tends to be a 2:39 down 2 full seconds with the options presented in this route. The thing I find interesting is that looking over my WR run I believe I was closer to 2:37 than 2:39 but I still don't see how to get that time any lower.
After further testing, it is quite inconsistent. I am getting a range of 6 whole seconds. This means there is a big range so that range may fall under 2:38. Gonna be working on this for a while I feel. (Seems to be an OBS issue slowing down the tablet. Gonna try recording with my phone. It won't be HD but it is the only way I think I can get it to work consistently)
Couple Updates:
1) The document is up to date. I went back and reverified all screenshots. We did lose a video on youtube by someone but we did record the evidence at the time so the run stands. I also was able to get the dates for every time posted.
2) Sub 2:38? With the current route, sub 2:38 is not believed to be possible. 2:38 is too inconsistent with the current route that it is likely that the record is just barely 2:38 almost 2:39 which would explain why replicating it with the same inputs is so difficult.
3) Potential time save. I have explored a few options to make it easier to get through the full list of tasks once getting the become your own boss upgrade. The issue was that the list was so large. looking at the run, there was no reason to get spectators before upgrading the work money at the 10000 tier. This means a whole big list of tasks is now wiped off the scrolling. However, it does mean more upgrade spamming later in the run. If a perfect upgrade spam input can be found 2:38 should be re-creatable. If that is proven possible, this is likely the way of discovering a way to go below 2:38. Gonna do a decent amount of runs tonight and test things out. Hoping at the very least I can find a more replicable way of 2:38 without needing frame perfect timing.
Def have explored here and there, still can't find anything viable to get there. Without a TAS (tool assisted speedrun) I do not think sub 2:38 will be found any time soon without brute forcing every possible option. The big thing holding the record back is scrolling the upgrades. Because only so many can be displayed at once no matter the device deminsions, scrolling is needed for certain upgrades. This scrolling holds back being able to do any possible combination without sacrificing time. I'm sure there is some way to get sub 2:38 but 2:38 isn't consistent even with the current route. I find I get more 2:39s with the WR route which means the 2:38 was most likely the best time with the current route.
Touchscreen devices allow for both buttons to be held down instantly while also allowing for clicking upgrades without having to let go. You can also ignore the Lower Taxes purchase for 800,000 at the end. Would love to see the times you could get with that switch. Also would be interested in seeing your purchase route as we have been trying to figure out the best route to see if sub 2:38 is possible. If you have the ability to record and upload to youtube a 2:45 (or close to) it would be great to see. 2:38 is currently the best time. I have theorised with the current route the best time probably lies at 2:36 but you'd need the propper screen and muscle memorie for scrolling. The reason for the time also has to do with touch screens. They allow for simultanious button presses. Unless someone finds a new route or a TAS is developped to test all possible routes 2:38 will not fall without hours of dedication to the current route.
New findings there should be a way to get 2:37. The issue is by doing the upgrade it opens many more upgrades separating the $5,000 money increase and then the $0 money increase you receive after, so the time save is negated by scrolling. If the scrolling can be perfected or a way to make more text boxes appear on a touch screen, would have to find a way to play with vertical dimensions on a tablet, which I think I may be able to find a way to do, then a 2:37 is likely to be achievable. Gonna start looking at window setups to optimize the upgrade display.
Decided to go through the comments and make a doc with every screenshotted/recorded run. Decided against the text because while most are truthful I think it takes away from the goal if false comments are allowed to slip in. Was super fun to look at and hopefully someone, myself or not, can continue to push the record. I doubt we will see a sub 2:30 but I still feel we could see at the very least a 2:37.

Unless another drastic find is made like the prioritizing money idea, I do think we have reached a barrier. I do not see any way sub 2:30 is possible without some exploit or big new idea. Sub 2:40 is near impossible with the current method as I have not been able to replicate it since on my tablet. Part of me wonders if it is possibly obs that is causing the loss of time by making the game run slightly slower. I do think there is some room for optimization still after the 10k money multiplier cause as of rn the strategy is to spam as quickly as possible everything that can be afforded. I'm sure there is a correct order to do said things but I don't know if taking the time to hit them in the right order will make up for the time loss of not spamming. There is room for improvement with certain reaction times after the 50 and 100 rotations and the scrolling after the 1500 and 5000 money increases. I'm thinking 2:36 is the current human limit with everything I listed perfected unless something new is found. If this is the last 10-second barrier to be broken I'm glad I was able to do it as I had not had the honor to break the 2:50 barrier. Gonna keep grinding out runs the next few days and see what comes of it but this really could be it. It took 8-9 months for 2:40 to finally fall and idk if there is any chance that we see another wr any time soon. Either way, I'm just glad we have been able to bring down a record that once sat at 3:00+. Thank you Raul for this amazing game!
Here it is. Unfortunately had to play on my phone and record with my webcam but hopefully, I can get some proper capture footage eventually for quality sake. Still went through at the end to prove it is legit. I still think there is a possible second or two if played on a larger screen for task click speed purposes.
would love to see a screen shot of this. I just am curious what route you are going and would love to actually see the evidence cause that is impressive and innovative if the time is legit. I know the button trick that is how sub 3 became a thing. I just don't understand where you get the 40-50 second time save from
Also realized downloading and playing can save time vs using the internet which would sometimes give me delay on button inputs. I have gotten 3 2:54s. Even with quick spin, a glitch where the cutsceen happens a little sooner, no idea what causes it, I can't get it under 2:54. I have tried so many different routes as well. I think 2:54 may just be perfection unless a new glitch is found.
