-- What is this game about? --
Seasonala Cemetery is about exploring a fictional cemetery which changes based off your computer's date and time. Visit in the summer to see the cemetery bustling with life, or explore in the quiet, snowy winter. Observe and interact with NPCs and animals as they visit Seasonala Cemetery, all while listening to ambient sounds recorded from a real-life cemetery.

-- Is it a horror game? --
No! Definitely not! Seasonala is meant to be a meditative experience that invites players to explore the serene beauty of a living, breathing cemetery.

-- What inspired it? --
Seasonala is a personal game inspired by my experiences exploring cemeteries in Toronto (namely Mount Pleasant and Toronto Necropolis) during the height of the pandemic. I found a lot of catharsis seeing places we associate with death filled with so much life and wanted to replicate that experience for others.

-- How long does it take to play? --
You can play it for as long or as little as you'd like! We recommend playing the game a little bit throughout the year to experience it through the different seasons.

-- What platforms is the game on? --
Currently the game is available for Windows/Mac via Steam and DRM-free through itch.io.

-- Is there a soundtrack? Who made it? --
Yes, there is! The soundtrack is composed by halina heron and is currently available on streaming services or through halina’s bandcamp.

-- Who worked on this game? --
My name is Gabby DaRienzo and I was the director/artist/designer of a game called A Mortician's Tale. I worked on Seasonala Cemetery alongside some of the same people I worked with on A Mortician's Tale, including Kait Tremblay, Jen Costa, halina heron, and Jacquelin de Leon. I also worked on the game with my friends Mobeen Fikree and Nina Wong, both of whom I worked with on Mo's games Graceful Explosion Machine and Super Crush KO. It was a pleasure to work with all these lovely humans again, and Seasonala Cemetery is just as much their game as it is mine.
