Thank you for the playthrough and feedback! You make some great points and these are all things I'd like to improve/fix about the game. Sadly I've had some other projects come up and haven't had to time to continue development on the game, but hopefully I'll be able to come back in the future and address the bugs,  increase the difficulty, and finish the game. Thank you again for playing!

Loving the new update! The coins, teleports, and spikes add a lot more depth and variety. Lots of new levels to try and some of them are quite challenging. The bug fixes are really nice too. I'm still working on beating all the new levels and want to start creating some of my own levels too. Keep up the good work!

I agree about the difficulty. We didn't want it to be too hard right in the beginning for new players, but I do agree it is very easy once you get the hang of it. I'll start thinking about some ways that I could ramp up the difficulty, especially as you progress through the game. 

We are definitely interested in adding more content like you mentioned. More levels for sure, and I like the idea of unlocking new spells over time. More enemy types and hazards within the levels is a possibility as well. Keep an eye out for future updates!

Thanks for a great game jam! It was a really cool experience, we played a ton of awesome games and got some really good feedback on ours. We took that feedback and made a bunch of fixes and improvements to our game. It much better represents the idea we were originally going for and would love for any and all to try it.

Really really nice game! The art is fantastic and gameplay is fun. I really like how you can go in and out of different trees. Really cool to play as a bird too, not many games have that. Nice!

Really nice! Unique concept that is challenging but fun. I can feel myself improving the more I play. Still, it's impressive the high score is 30k plus, I couldn't get above 900. Nice sprites, feels solid, cute title screen and camera shake was a nice touch. Well done!

I like how the ghosts go on your head when you lose! Satisfying to punch the ghosts too. The "down" animation was maybe a bit odd but overall, good simple concept that works well. Nice job!

Nice! I really liked the sprites and background. The knight animation was really good, it felt like he was in motion which was great for only 2 (?) frames. Gameplay wise I like how you can double jump and controls were responsive. Simple concept but good!

Fun! I enjoyed it. The sprites were very readable and cute, and I liked how you could drop items off at the table as a sort of buffer to increase efficiency. Just a minor thing but it was maybe a bit too punishing how fast you can get infected. Maybe add a counter so you get touched 3 times before you get totally infected or something like that. Overall good game and felt very relevant!

Great observations. We agree about the enemies and are almost ready with an update that modifies their visibility. As far as the controls for laptops, that is also a good point and we will keep that in mind. Thanks for your comment!

Fun game. The brother/friend who comes in was quite funny. The frenetic gameplay of having to stop the distractions definitely fit the theme of the game jam well. Sadly I couldn't finish the last 10 because I forgot how to do calculus! Good job though.

Wow, that's really cool you used your own engine! Is it available anywhere? would love to check it out. I've experimented with making my own engines in the past but never got too far.

Wow, super dope game! Loved the concept, art, simplicity, music, and overall game play. I'll probably be at this game for a while. :)

The other half of FractalFrabricGames just played and won after 3 games :D She is very proud of this and looooves the game. Very rad, creative, and cute <3

Really cool. I think I'm starting to figure out where trudy likes to go. I finally got a win after 7 games or so. I like the concept a lot, it reminds me of minesweeper. Graphics are great too! One suggestion, move Trudy's game over text off the game board, so that the player can study clues for where Trudy spawned. The text was blocking so I couldn't see the clues as well. Or maybe you want it that way for more challenge! Either way, good job!

This was quite enjoyable! Good concept and presentation. I got 1375 points. What engine did you use?

Really really cool concept! Never seen anything quite like it. Definitely took some figuring out but once I got the hang of it, it was fun.

Fun game. I got to 152. Was a bit hard to tell what the green powerup chest did. I know sometimes it blew up all enemies and sometimes it increased firing rate? Anyway, nice game!

Really hard but kinda fun. My highest score was 11 I think. The music is awesome and I wish I could hear more of it!

I had to restart about 10 times then I finally got into a game where I didn't die instantly and the trees loaded. The art is cool, simple concept and fits the theme well.

Fun game! I got to 52 paparazzi by staying near the edges. What pathfinding system did you use for the paparazzi?

Pretty fun, I enjoyed it. The different spells are fun to use and feel unique!
