Are you allowed to submit a fangame/a game that uses characters from an existing game/book/manga (provided it is free to download and you include a disclaimer that it is a fangame not endorsed by the copyright holders of such characters)?

Hey there! If you're still interested, I'd be down to contribute in any way I can!

I have some background in programming and making small games in Unity; I also have some basic 3d modeling knowledge in Blender, Maya, and Zbrush, and some extremely limited drawing experience. Also I have some amount of amateur voice acting experience (only projects I've ever done VA work for were small things me and my friends worked on :) I also have experience as a lyricist, but I've never composed any melodies/the music itself for the songs I wrote the lyrics to.

I tried Godot Engine a bit before, but I never made anything beyond 2D arcade projects (also that was back in Godot 2, so I don't know how applicable it would really be).
