Awww, well it saddens me but in a bittersweet way cuz it's good you saved yourself from a burnout by realizing and coming to terms with the fact you can't handle the project FOR NOW...that's very brave and admirable of you! Don't be too hard on yourself, at least you're able to get food on the table 馃ゲ in those covid times.
I too share this dream of making a game...but my mental health and overall complicated live situation (and I can't lie a bit of procrastination too) make it so I still can't write a single line of code FOR NOW...
Eventually we'll get there (you definitely have the potential to output a very good game, art and writing wise)馃グ high five! (from a distance and with our masks on)
