Hey Vlad, thanks for playing my game! I really appreciate the feedback. I fixed the loud music, and added a few lines in the tutorial I forgot.
The reason you couldn't turn was because the character can't do so from a still position. The lion needs to have momentum, be it walking or running. The idea was to make it feel more like a living creature.
The trouble you had with comming out in a sprint is because rather than having to hold the button, it can be toggled. Idea is to not have to strain your finger by holding it.
The health bar has a timer. It will dissapear if you aren't taking damage, or aren't fighting.
And lastly, another thing I forgot to add in the tutorial: by hitting Q you automatically walk/sprint forward, depending on what movement you have selected.
I made this little side project in the span of a few days. Used it as a short switch from the main game to refresh my mind.
I like your ideas a lot. I was going to add more AI so you can hunt together with the other lions, extra behavier for other animals, a progress from cub to adulthood, relations with other lions, but since it is a side project, I had to cut back to what I have now.
Hey!
I made a free third-person game where you play as a lion in the savanna.
You can choose between female or male. When male, you fight other male lions. When female, you hunt animals. Both can freely explore the world.
I filled the savanna area with a few surprises, other animals, and some locations to make exploring worthwhile. There is an autowalk option, so you don't have to keep holding down a button when moving around.
