Hi,

as of today I will fully publish whatever it is that I have.

As a former perfectionist it is very difficult to let go of a project. It will never be perfect. So to avoid always working on it, I have decided that I will publish it as far as it is necessary for me to have it for the sake of my story.

I know it seems weird, shady, scammy or predatory to do, but I promise that I will dedicate my life to this work. I have already dedicated the last 2-3 years making the system as far as it is now.

You don't have to buy it, it is, and always will be, a game meant to explain the powersystem of my story. But for you I'll try to make it playable and consistent with the story.

Thank you for your support!

Honestly, learning how to draw and writing the beginnings of the World Maker's Guide (GM guide).

As fun as it is to write the system, I want to add tabletop assets to it.

Technically I already have an artstyle that fits the game, where I am free to draw however I want, but it also requires me to explain to you a little bit how that works, since it is not very common to use a 3/4 point of view for Tabletop games. Most of the time it is TopDown. Not only that, but I have so many ideas I can't draw yet due to a lack of technical ability.

Regarding the guide, I'm having a hard time letting go of the standard role of the GM. The only one I know is the way it is done in Tabletop RPG's. But this isn't an RPG. It is not about collaborate storytelling. It is about combat and strategy. I want both players to be in a position where they have to strategize and anticipate what can happen. I want the character sheet of the players to be semi unknown to the World Waker(WM from now on), in terms of which skills the players have. This way the WM can not decide to take a player out preamptively because of the possesion of a skill. It also gives the player the chance to surprise the WM in a way that would not feel like derailing(I hope).

Basically I will write down some functions I want the WM to have, but the overal vision of what I want for the WM is still a bit too vague.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I am busy updating the game.

It's been a long time since I finished this version, but to be honest, It actually wasn't finished yet.

I have loads of more ideas that I want to implement into this game.

After the system has been finished I will work on content, like stories.

Until then, consider this a framework to build a story on.

true, but that's why I posted the question. I already removed my first indexed pack. and the one that's up now seems to be getting reviewed...

If I remove my first indexed asset pack and I publish my second assetpack afterwards, does it need to be reviewed again?

So I'm relatively new to this community...
And I was wondering...

How did you all start you journey and perhaps a link to your first game art made
How long do you make art now? What was your hardest hurdle to get over? When did you know you were good at this or maybe you haven't found that moment yet?

Tell your story here!! I am curious!

You gave me some very good ideas here!
I may actually dabble in codes for this...
Cimeto, You are an MVP! Thank you for all the feedback!

Hey Cimeto,
Thank you for your reply!

I edited my top post to 2D visuals, since that's all I can make.
Specializing is something I have thought about, However, I don't feel that my pack would be so attractive to game developers if it only has what it has now(or an expansion of it)
I Have a vision for what I want to achieve with it and though it is tough, I do think it is doable.
Currently I'm working on UI elements while also learning a bit more about anatomy in drawings so I can improve the character.
Plants, animals, objects are on the list, but I sadly can't do everything at the same time. I planned on updating monthly, which is very doable and also very focused on one specific part of the asset pack.

That said, I agree with the statement that all developers want their game to be different than the rest, which is why I think the UI design is going to be crucial...
Would you as developer appreciate variations in the buildings, knowing that their are more to choose from, either in color or details?

I know it's a big task that I set for myself, but I believe I can actually make an asset pack that is so diverse, that more people can use it and all have different outcomes.

Again, thank you for the reply! I appreciate the input. Writing this answer really helped me strengthen my resolve to make this!

Aseprite
Watched pixel pete and now we are 2000+ hours in...

You can always get some free asset packs if you need pixel art quick. There are loads of versatile asset packs with which you can create games or art....

Thank you for your reply.

I agree with your point that a 'complete' asset pack would indeed be quite tricky. Let's say 'as complete as possible in 2D art'
Chunking it and gradually adding to the pack is indeed my plan. Making it in one go would be too big of a task.
Thank you for the list, that will definitely help.

Ooh sliders! That's cool!
Thank you for the comment!

I mean an asset pack that helps with the visuals.

Hi,

I was looking for information on what goes into a gamekit( a complete assetpack to help with 2D visuals), but I figured...
You gamedevelopers probably all have a different Idea on what goes inside a gamekit and what you would like to see...

Aside from the UI and just tiles or characters...What would you like to see in a gamekit that you buy on either itch, unity or another store??

Thank you!

Hello,

My problem is, as stated in the title, that I uploaded and published a paid assetpack.

https://clout-myriad.itch.io/clout-myriad-isopack-modern

I understand that a first assetpack needs to be reviewed, so I waited for that.
I also understand that they are maybe very busy, so I'm not in a rush.
I read the FAQ multiple times.
I also understand that, before posting here, there is a contact email, so I emailed them three days ago with no response so far.

In the meantime, I updated the assetpack in question and I uploaded and published I try-out version of my asset pack, and that one was indexed right away(because it's free), but the paid one is still nowhere to be found in the search, unless you have a link or you look on my page.

With kind regards,
Chris from Clout Myirad

Thank you for the reply! I now have some more insight in what to do!

Question is in the title.
My question is more of 'what is the appropriate time to wait before contacting support about non indexed packs or games?'

Disclaimer:
I understand that reviewers are busy, I read the FAQ. This is not about why my pack isn't indexed. I'm marketing it myself already, so people get to see it anyway.
