Hey, I tried out your game. I noticed that when I'm using the third tool (I think it's a saw), It also works for trees that have been cut down with the axe. So I cut down a tree with the axe, it disappeared, but I can still use the saw on it and get wood.

Also, sometimes when I use the saw on a tree, the character makes a jump or gets pushed back. One time I even got pushed out into the desert a bit.

I thought about what you said about the game being turn-based. I think a speed system like many management games have would make more sense. The current version only runs at a set speed and can only be paused by opening the menu, but there will be a pause, normal and a fast speed option for players to choose their speed.
I will also add a tutorial at the start of new games to make it easier to understand.

Also, being able to select multiple tiles to change their biome has been on my todo-list for too long. You can expect that soon, too =)

  • All Animals now also look for food on the surrounding tiles
  • Fertility and Water are now two different things. Tiles require surrounding water to be placed, but plants and animals need a certain level of Fertility.
  • Reduced the amount of Mountains that spawn on any given map
  • Made the different selections for the detailed info panel for tile stats in the bottom-left corner more visible
  • The game now uses a different font
  • The buttons for carnivorous animals now have a red border
  • Added a "How to Play" screen that shows up every launch

  • Removed the hotkeys for overlays, as they were conflicting with the multi selection. There will be customizable hotkeys for things like that in the future.
