How many updates are planned for this, and how often are their releases planned to be?

I don't think there is no real checklist for the game, but you can romance all the girls and get max stats. Other than all of that, you can use the explore mechanic and find extra side girls for more scenes. Also the Act 2 finale isn't quite finished yet so I recommend having a save file prior to activating the finale so you can still go back. 

It does what it says, it makes typewriter sounds whenever the protagonist talks.

Got a question,  will taking the artifact in the act two finale have any serious everlasting consequences? I really don't want to get too far in the game just to find out that I messed up on a good ending or missed out on content because of it.

Also this literally is the best NSFW game I've ever played. For the first time ever, I'm actually really interested in the story! I also can't get enough of the interactions with Lyx, it's soooo good. The only thing I wish for is more interactions with the kids in the daycare.
