Yeah i tried uninstall too lol. What if it just leaved the last profile running on exit rather than trying to reset?

I understand noone or not many care about this by the way. Its not worth a lot of your time.

I dont particularly want to block horizon, I want QGO to stop triggering it when i quit a game.

You said its because it applies the home or default profile on exit. Why does that open an app? Cant you find a better way to do it that doesnt open an app, or dont do it at all>?

Thanks, if you can figure out some way to have it not happen, to immediately go back to the normal toolbar view thing with the clock and the icons on it (i have no idea what that is called) then that would be great.

Thanks, is it 6 seconds because you chose 6 seconds?

Thanks. The problem is that i dont like the delay after exiting an app

1. Disabling horizon makes an error message pop up about how that is not available because it is blocked by your organisation

2. Setting qgo to launch on app exit actually takes longer because it loads horizon then qgo

i havent tried uninstall.. im guessing it will do the error like disabling though?

lol what are you at risk of getting banned for?

I really want to get rid of that Horizon Feed loading after exiting an app. It bugs me a lot.

Its from the auto detect feature right? Thats such a handy feature, but im tempted to lose it to avoid the stupid horizon feeds.

Just use 90 for everything, Anything more is not noticeable and anything less is undesirable. Adjust resolution to achieve a solid 90fps and use FR on medium for everything as well. Higher looks bad and lower loses some performance, medium is pretty much unoticeable.

thanks ill try

Thats got nothing to do with this tool my friend. That is a PCVR game and this is a Quest Native game tool.

Do you happen to know if there is an ADB command for disabling ASW?

Yeah a "dynamic mode" with a level 7 cap would be perfect. But i guess thats impossible unless meta does it

Just mess about with it. You dont need profiles. If you are on Quest 3 try 130-150% on resolution, put FR on medium and unlock gpu or go insane if you want. If its smooth you can up to the next resolution level but generally 130 ish looks great and runs nicely.

Is level 7 getting into the realm of overclocking? The whole thing so far has just been tweaking within the normal operating parameters. A big selling point to the naysayers has been, "It cant damage your device because its just doing what its supposed to do but better". Overclocking is a different story though imo. What do you think

Can this be fixed? For example remove home profile completely?

I didnt realise this was a side effect of QGO. I spent quite some time trying to get rid of it.

Is there a CPU level 7 as well?

"I think people don't care about level"

You could be correct. Also I think so could i. A lot of people using QGO are full on tinkerers and those ones like the numbers. You writing that like that makes me think it would be even better like:

Very High (Level 5: 599 Mhz)

Can you have tooltips in the app? that would be ok too.

None of this is necessary, im just chatting about an idea.

Level 6 GPU with 90hz works quite well. Smooths out the stutters quite well. I didnt have the courage for level 7

Thanks mate. Appreciate the help.

I have one related suggestion. Make some click boxes in settings or the top bar to set the various clocks. Usage would be for example I set level 7 for a game then come back to home screen I dont want level 7 anymore.

As for the naming. I think simple might be ok.

I see you have a screenshot with low medium high very high insane. you could use that and just put the level next to it.

e.g (with possible thought on toggles)

Very High (Lvl 5) [Click here to set now]

Extreme (Lvl 6) [Click here to set now]

Insane (Level 7) [Click here to set now]

Anyway you are a great dev, thanks for spending the time to answer all the questions and most importantly making the app

Thanks. Then "dynamic" is different from the out of the box default setting? Because a fresh install the GPU goes to 599 all the time. In the home screen when looking in the mirror, in AC in the main title screen, basically as soon as the GPU usage goes above .. i think 80 or 85 it goes to 599.

Do you know what the command is for the default behavior? I would like to be able to enter that via adb when the headset "breaks" and dynamic doesnt work properly anymore and stops at 545.

Thanks

Re the "unlocked" it doesnt matter at all it just doesnt make much sense in english.

(1 edit)

Try it yourself and let us know

I tried level 6 with 123% and it was pretty smooth. Still 45fps ASW but thats never going away. I didnt bother with level 7 seems like it might burn.

Thanks, then that is poorly named. 'Unlocked' shouldnt mean 'Locked'

But, that isnt my issue.

Something breaks dynamic mode and I am trying t figure out if its QGO. I cant see what else it would be which i why i ask the expert.

With a factory reset device, the headset automatically adjusts the GPU freq from 350 ish all the way to 599mhz. Some time later after install and use QGO dynamic mode breaks and will only adjust to a maximum of 545mhz.

I dont know what else I am doing to make this happen other than using qgo.

That would be awful. 36 fps is not nice

Hi, I have 2 quest 3's On one of them with GPU set to dynamic it will go to 599Mhz when required on the other it only goes to 545Mhz even when the fps is tanking to 45fps or less. I test in game and on home screen by increasing resolution to 200%. If i use "unlocked" then the "broken" one will go to 599 but will never drop back down.

Anything you can think of regarding this would be much appreciated

Understood. Makes perfect sense. It works nicely with the auto detect as you say. Thanks for the reponse

Love it. 1 suggestion or request. Put some more work into the launcher. Get it up to the level of lightning launcher so it can replace that and be an all in one. Its not much i dont think, just a few tweaks here or there, opening speed, icon layout, sorting, folders and groups .. maybe its a bit actually. Still, thats my thought for an improvement.

Thanks

Great thanks, so you just applied an overall 30%, thats cool. At least its a good start.

Same exact question/comment from me. It seems very low on many titles for quest 3. but it says supports quest 3 so I assume its all been done. Can dev confirm?
