Deleted the old download and tried again, exact same result.

EDIT: I looked in the zip file with the built in functionality in Windows and with 7-Zip. Windows doesn't show the file at all and 7-Zip says it's 0 bytes and it's also the only file in the directory that looks like that.

Still no luck. I tried restarting the Itch.io client as well as deleting the installer out of the downloads folder to make sure it was the new one that ran just in case.

EDIT: I just messed around a bit in the Itch.io client and found the log. Seems it fails on "MBSchoolforFormerLadies-pc\game\images\toobig?.textClipping: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." which if I'm not mistaken can't have the questionmark in it on Windows.

This downloads but fails to install for me. I'm using the Itch.io client on Windows 10.

The Itch app says it's not available for Windows, IIRC you need to specify platform to make that work.

You forgot the platform metadata so there's no download button in the Itch client.

You forgot to fill in the platform metadata so the download/install button doesn't show up in the Itch client.

You forgot to set the platform in the metadata so the Itch client doesn't show a way to install it.

This reminds me of Flatland. :D

I found a crashing bug: Using the keyboard navigate to People in Journal and accidentally press E an extra time without selecting a person.

Just in case you have an extension or something to bypass it locally and so won't see the errors it's because cross-origin requests are blocked for file:// urls at least in Chrome.

Even better. :)

Will you be selling the full version through Itch.io too?

A really nice game. :)

I noticed a few small problems with the text (version 0.42a):

  • "You know, I'm probably will sit at home."
  • "Liz took a step back, slightly swaying. She had to lean on my arm to keep from falling. There is an awkward silence in the room." (last sentence: was instead of is)
  • There was a kiss in the vampire conversation before the banana chips and then shortly after in the same conversation another one which was described as the first.
  • In the chamomile tea on the couch dialogue there appears to be some Russian word in the English text.

Language selection is a bit confusing (double click instead of just selecting) and the mouse pointer isn't placed at the same place it is shown when doing 3840x2160 in fullscreen.

Cute. Really nice dialogue.

I have the same problem and the button doesn't fix it for me.

Edit: Odd. Now it loads fine after a day or so.
