I appreciate the kind words and feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed!

On mention of the phase/boss/evolving topic, my original design intention was to just have the mama hen spawn as an actual boss fight , angered by the fate of her babies. However as the jam was nearing an end, I ran out of time and decided to just implement her as a constant hazard. More hens spawn in the lil chambers as you collect more souls, (up to 6 total),  so I was happy to atleast have that difficulty ramp and gameplay evolution with what little time I had. I think the phrase I hear more in jams than anywhere else goes something like "I didn't have enough time". All in all I enjoyed making it, and people enjoyed playing it, I'm just glad to be here lol.

After you get a certain amount of souls the chicks and chickens will all respawn and the difficulty ramps. It's basically just a highscore game without any actual highscore system tbh. Highest I've seen was 160ish.

I was only able to have one person even playtest the game before submission and it was on my own PC so I was unaware of the audio issues everybody mentions. Hopefully I'll be able to have more playtesters on my next project. Appreciate the feedback!

Understandable, I couldn't even get audio to work in any of my projects up until now lol. Mine is pretty broken too.

Proving once and for all who wins in the forever war of cats vs dogs

Appreciate the feedback. This is actually the first time I've gotten audio to even work for me in Unity so I'm not surprised it broke haha.

To fit the theme you're constantly on the edge of death, and youre doing the bidding of your new cat boss to fit the requirement. Appreciate the feedback though lol.

Audio broke after I jumped off the edge after my first playthrough but other than that I feel this is quite the valiant effort for a jam game.

Quite enjoyable but yet ever so slightly frustrating puzzles near the end, meeting what I believe are the two requirements to make a good puzzle game. Great job!

As others have said, I surprisingly enjoyed working retail wayyy too much.

Fantastic puzzle game. Could see this ending up on the app store. One of the top submissions for sure.

Retro, adrenaline inducing, fun. Ticks all the boxes.

Could see this being in an old arcade cabinet somewhere. Super addicting.
