I'm not the dev and ill admit I don't really wanna see egg laying BUT, the main factor would be how the AI would handle something like that. Other factors include the structure of the ship scenes which currently aren't setup for egg laying to be a thing and as we get more and more legendarys per generation to do individual egg laying scenes would be alot, along with all the other ship events like the Anal Whore Club, human photos and miscellaneous. Basically alot of work that might not even work well with the AI for a scene that would need to play once. Also, development of pregnancy seems to occur while the player is away as they are in an area canonically for a decent amount of time so to me it would make sense for them to give birth while the player is away. This is just me and I'm not the dev just what I think who knows they may do it and if they do its not like a deal breaker.
