This game was honestly amazing and I loved every second of it. Honestly it's one of the main reasons why I wanted to create an itch.io account - so I could comment a review because before I just lurked and downloaded games that interested me LOL. The small details in the game really enhanced my enjoyment of the game and I loved going through all the endings and spending time with all the Milos to see how they changed and I apologize in advance for how long this comment will be.

Giving the Milos their own animal sound effects really subtlety portrayed how he changed as a character with Pre-Milo being a rabbit, showing his meekness and how small he felt. Which then he slowly changed into a dog or cat depending on the violence or manipulative route respectively. Violent Milo being given the dog noises accentuated that guard/protective feel and fierce loyalty that violence Milo has and also his commitment to his owner - Eris. Manipulative Milo having the cat noises helped show his change into becoming more cunning and intelligent. How Milo could be agile and stealthy like a cat in social settings.

Other details like the music and the art itself (and I absolutely ADORE the music and cgs) also helped create the game's haunting and eerie atmosphere and made me feel more immersed in it - I felt like I was at the edge of my seat sometimes because I was wondering what Eris wanted to do next with Milo and how far Milo would end up going for them. And some more details I found that were cool were actually in the games code itself! The small things like the MC's names and nicknames you could give to Milo were really funny and nice to read. I dug around a little bit and saw there were hidden messages in the beginning of the game and at the end of each ending that were in morse code and another code (that I'm still working on decoding haha) and they were really really neat to read.

I also really love the the MC/Eris being fucked up, it's not something I seen often, especially in yandere games and I think it was done really well! I also really enjoyed the sort of dramatic irony-ness of cheering for poor cute little Milo but knowing that he would slowly become corrupted by and for Eris.

This game is for sure going to stick with me for a while and I'm excited to see any new things in the future if you intend to do anything more!! With this game or if you intend to create anything else. I'm very sorry for this long review LOL but all in all I just wanted to say I really enjoyed this game and playing it a lot.

Whoa! Thank you so much! I can't believe you made an account because you like this game so much, that's amazing.

Such good interpretations for the music and sfxs. I had a fun time looking for all of them. You're right on the spot though, the SFX for Pre Milo were chosen to make him a lot more pathetic like and small while Violence is more protective but loyal (like a dog) while Manipulation is a lot more cunning and sly (like a cat). For me I think I tried to make sure that most songs were used only once or twice (I think I broke that rule on one, but still pretty good all things considering).

Yes! I was hoping that people would look in the code because I added and left a bunch of stuff when I was making it. A lot of the easter eggs were added because I was sleep deprived and wanted to do something else that wasn't trying to code in the sprites and whatnot, and I plan to add even more when I update it with the extra scenes. Each cypher is actually corresponded to one of the Milo forms, with the one in English just being Eris speaking.

Yeah, I love writing Eris! Sometimes I think they come off as too much of a evil cheesy villain with the way they talk or they're trying to be too serious, but I'm glad you like them! I don't see as many evil or otherwise bad MCs in yandere media in general and I really like the idea that the MC is actually worse than the yandere, which is where the idea came from in the first place. I feel very bad for Milo too but unfortunately I'm mean and he must suffer.

Thank you for writing this long review, I really enjoy reading other people's opinions on things that I make. After the update I'm planning where I add some extra scenes, I am planning on making another much more friendly and goofy world based on the world Valli is from. Perhaps in the future, I'll come back and give Milo a better ending in a different game.
