Well done with producing such a well-rounded game! Sound and graphics are good quality, though I have a personal dislike for the red character (but that's just me!) The platform physics seems a little off, I was able to jump up a block where it seemed I shouldn't have been able to, and in other places it wouldn't let me jump off the edge of a platform, which makes me think this was done in Godot, because my game had the exact same issue.
I got stuck with the door at the top surrounded by rows of spikes, I would like to try different things to proceed but every failure would mean a 5-minute delay as I get both characters to the top again and remember the sequence in which they have to progress so I decided to stop there.
But on the whole this is a great game!
It’s a nice puzzle game. In my opinion it would be better without the spikes, the fact that you have to restart the level doesn’t contribute to the game. Also, I don’t think it has coyote time, it would be a wise choice to implement it. Besides that, great game, congratulations!
This game is really great! I love the art and the music. My partner and I enjoyed passing the controller back and forth puzzling it out.
I found the puzzle aspect was held back by unnecessarily difficult platforming challenge. We were often frustrated that we knew the solution, but had trouble executing the jumps.
All-in-all this a really polished and fun submission. Congrats on making something cohesive.
Wow! I won't be surprised if this game wins, you guys knocked it out of the park! The controls for the little guys is kind of annoying, but idk if that's just part of the challenge of the game. Overall, congrats on making such a great game in such little time!
Really cool idea, I do like the puzzle aspect more than the jumping and platforming part. I felt the latter part need a bit too much "precision". Btw the art is also really high quality and the puzzle are well thought out.
This is easily the most polished game so far that ive played! it is reminiscent of snipperclips for thr nintendo switch and ibb and obb. Controls feel very responsive and smooth. i got stuck on level 4 cuz im not good at puzzles lol. Overall very inspiring that you made this in just 1 month!
Interesting idea and looks really polished! I kept hitting the underneath of other platforms while jumping, though maybe that was just me. Good job!
Really cool presentation, doodle aesthetics is probably my most favorite graphics style. Levels are fun and engaging to solve. Although I have some minor complaints and bugs:
1) Wish there was an indicator where the block will be placed, because otherwise it is too easy to drop it somewhere you don't want to
2) You can't pick up block if they are directily under your feet, which sometimes softlocks the character
3) Music turns off when you restart the level
4) The text in the tutorial is hard to read, with my bad eyesight I could barely see button labels even in fullscreen
5) Wish where was a faster way to restart the level
Aside from that very enjoyable game, fascinating that it was made in 1 month!
Glad to see more people using Godot, that's always a good sign! 😄
The game's quite enjoyable, it kind of reminds me of Snipperclips for Nintendo Switch, and I think that if you develop this prototype even further, you can make yourselves a place in the market, good job!
I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of being slower while jumping. I've developed quite a few platformers in the past, so I'm really strict in the gameplay aspect of this kind of games, but I also understand that the main focus is cooperation between characters and resolving a puzzle. Nonetheless, my advice is to refine a little bit more the movement system of the characters, make it feel a little more natural while jumping, so you can take the next step in quality 😊
You have done a very good job, keep improving guys! 😃
Dear Polanski, thanks a lot for your feedback!
We found Godot a very versatile engine, surely it will have a big role in the future!
For sure we will continue improving" We are planning and trying to understand how to fix the movement and controls of the characters to create a better experience for the player.
Really good. A masterclass in elegant game design with exceptional polish and refinement.
I love the one-page tutorial.
Lots of charm to this one. I really appreciate the level of polish and the art direction. I felt that the actual movement/platforming aspect of the game could use some refinement, but a really great entry for the jam!
Fun game and great aesthetics. I didn’t make it very far because I’m not great at platformers and kept failing to jump when I meant to, but it looks like the levels are well thought out.
