I wanted to try the landing indicator but it didn't seem very useful to me since I don't really look down while playing. That being said, I'm not exactly a new player at this point.
Thanks for the comment, and you are correct. Experienced players are better at judging distances, so that addition is extra help for new players. I just hope it is not going to get them in the habit of constantly looking down. There is already an option to disable it in case you find it distracting.
