the item box in the store is the veteran's fortune, it sells items back at 2/3rds (I think) of their buy value when you send it back with items a-la drive box- you don't really need bonus points when you've played enough to know what you're doing
i do think i have played enough to know what i'm doing (160 hours?) and the item box is a tool that everyone should utilize (it has a 75% sellback value), i was thinking about having points at the beginning of day 1 of the game to help speed up cleaning and signal processing.
