I absolutely love this game! As a base for a polished game this is perfect. I found the game loop awesome and engaging also the commands are intuitive and straight to the point. Some more suggestions: 1) Make it full 3D but keep it topdown 2) Put a minimap so navigation is easier 3) Implement evolution like using other creatures body part as an upgrade in order to become a stronger being (like you start very weak in the food chain then become unstoppable).
