Hello,

After talking to a few of you I have extended the deadline for the game jam to the 8th of January to give you the Christmas break to work on your entries.

A number of people have wanted to get involved but haven't felt like they have had the time to balance it along with everything else during term time - especially since this is the first jam and many of you are learning the tools from scratch. Moving forward I think it might be a better idea to do these over the Winter/Easter/Summer breaks - what do you think?

Remember, I still only expect you to spend a total of around 24-48 hours on your project. I realise you have had much longer than that now.

As soon as you have something playable submit it to the jam so people can download and try it, you can keep updating it after submission - judging starts after the deadline. Also let me know what you are doing with screenshots and updates on twitter (for example... https://twitter.com/Faire_du_Velo_/)

Sorry to anyone who has been working hard to get things finished for today's deadline - I wanted to make sure we have enough entries to have a decent celebration in the new year. To those of you who have worked on an entry or are planning too, thanks for the support and effort I genuinely appreciate it.

If you have access to any computer science facebook page could you post a copy of this e-mail there (with a link to the jam) explaining what is happening.

Best wishes

Sean
