Video Issues and Memory Leak?

Love playing this game, but have experienced some oddities.

  • I play the game in windowed mode, but the game will only go to windowed mode if the "launch in fullscreen" is checked. In other words, it will start, adjust resolutions of screens, go black, and then show up in a window. It works for me, but it looks like something weird is happening.

  • After playing for a while, and especially when loading large areas, I noticed a lot of stuttering. After watching the amount of memory being used, it goes from 90mb to 200mb very quickly and the stuttering gets worse as the more ram is being used. Restarting the game fixes the issue.

Also, can a sprinting option be added to lock the sprinting on? Holding the shift down then whole time is getting a little old.

Other than that, i'm loving the game. I've put in 10 hours in 2 days and while the above won't stop me from playing, I thought I would throw them out there to see if anyone else has these issues.

It's not the maps themselves, it's the scripts on them. I managed to reduce the lag of Hikari's tomb for the next update, and I will be working on them as I come across them. To be honest even I don't understand exactly how the game decides how much memory is being used, as the same rules don't seem to apply to every map. I'm experimenting as I go along.

As for a sprinting-lock, I have been considering it for a while now. Might add an option next patch, though it won't be turned on by default.

Thanks for the clarification.

The sprint lock would be awesome, even if it's default would be off. Just having the option would be awesome.
