Oh, there'll be ways to increase the number of gems later down the line

Would you kindly elaborate? When you mean “down the line” development is no doubt a part of it, but in what method is this being implemented? Considering that this topic is about Day 0 and 1 it will have to be available from the get-go. The options I can think of are:

1) Some sort of task (or variety of tasks) you are able to complete each day, though seeing as gems represent time this one seems illogical. Since you’re testing a dungeon system this would most likely be related to that.

2) Giving certain responses in interactions, though on top of railroading the player is also illogical for the same reason as 1). I could see it coming about as a deal with the dream devil, but that couldn’t come into play for Day 0.

3) A new-game plus bonus, perhaps cumulative with what progress you make, though that by design wouldn’t be available from the get-go.
