is it a multiplayer game? or do you mean a party of two characters? if you mean a multiplayer game then having two separate players is already a good implementation of duality. If you mean a party of two characters then separating them by only color alone isn't really a solid interpretation of duality. If they also have widely different skillsets that is better. One is warrior and the other is sorceror, etc.
