Ludum Dare for the 9-5 Worker!

Basically Ludum Dare — same theme, same rules — but instead of spending 48 hours over a single weekend, you’re allowed to space the 48 hours out over 1-2 weeks. It starts at the same time as LD52 and will use the same themes, once they’re revealed.

This jam operates on the honor system: even though the jam runs for 1-2 weeks, the total number of hours worked on your submission shouldn’t exceed 48 hours.

This is just for fun, for those that are either unable or unwilling to spend a weekend crunching on a project, but still want to try participating.

There are two categories:

9-5: https://itch.io/jam/working-man-jam This category runs for 7 days, which roughly translates to 8 hours per day, with an off-day to spend time with the kids or work around the house instead. That’s just a suggestion, you’re of course welcome to split the 48 hours however you like.

Part-time: https://itch.io/jam/working-man-jam-part-time This category runs for 14 days, which roughly translates to 4 hours per day, with two off-days. Again, just a suggestion.

I can think to try some simple game in QBASIC. Just for fun!

The jam has begun! The theme is Harvest.
