It could be any number of things, though the most likely is not enough storage space available if you're on Android, which I'm assuming you are. What exactly are you doing, and what error message are you getting?
after just constantly retrying to update it eventually did do it, I'm not really sure what happened as I didn't do anything besides just retrying again and again to update it.
