So I was browsing the spreadsheet and noticed that this work, or rather this particular publishing of Don Quixote was now public domain. I'm had an idea for a game possible using material from that, but I'm not sure it's in the spirit of the jam since the original was published over 400 years ago.

It looks like it's a simple reprint of the original, which isn't in the spirit of the jam. If it were adding to the original with commentary or had new art that you were using in your game it might be a different story.

Or if you ran a diff on other PD English versions and the game was about "translation" itself, rather than Don Quixote in particular. That might be very interesting indeed!
