This is fun! The sfx were great, the art was good, and I didn't encounter any bugs! Although I feel like the game would be a bit better if the dark wasn't completely opaque or the player had the option for the AI to just follow them (that might exist and I just don't know how to do it), But otherwise great job!

Like my rating suggests, I really like every little bit of this game. Cute little story, pretty Newgrounds-esque little characters, fun mechanic, and well-paced. The game is just challenging enough and it doesn't overstay its welcome. Very fun!
Nitpicks
- For dummies who are bad at reading tutorials like me, it can be good if the tutorial requires you to do the lesson to progress (putting a pit or laser where you have to control the robot to get past, etc.)
- I would have loved if a couple more things were visible in the darkness, like the enemy pings or projectiles, or maybe just expanding the radius of the robot's light source in combat.
This is really neat! Love the fact that vision is tied to the robot.
Some levels were frustrating, and it was unclear at first that the laser could be disabled with the robot, (I only knew because of your reply to a comment). But other than that, lovely game. The enemies were satisfying to hit. The length of the game was perfect for a jam. The story, even though simple, was a fun addition. I like how the friendly robot can block bullets from the enemies.
It's a pretty sweet story even if the twist is not so twisty. As it is, it's a decently tense shooty platformer, just a little more feedback and probably the light Rebecca casts could be brighter, it felt like I was looking through a paper towel roll
Enjoyed playing the game and the shooting mechanic along wiht the AI support :)
Nice little game you got there :)
The execution is clean, but I had one issue: the light emitted by the robot is too small, and I found myself repeatedly dying because of enemies I could react to quickly enough. I ended up having to memorize the enemy layout. I also died a lot because I had to make a choice between scouting ahead and viewing my character (and platforming without seeing your character is hard ^^). It was a bit frustrating, mostly in the last level, when you have to face groups of 3-4 enemies regularly.
That aside, the art and sound is clean (maybe add a sound for when you've fallen in a hole?), and the game is fun! Well done :D
+ Levels not too long (for me)
+ nice graphics and sounds
- Not completely in the topic, as to me
Not the genre I prefer, but it seems a very good platform game. I can't judge the difficulty level or the level design interest .
The guiding of the light source is the little "twist", but after the first levels there is no actual interest in managing it, and it breaks the rythm.
This types of game aren't my thing 🥲
Platform moments are tedious for me !
Overall. nice entry!
This is awesome! You've nailed a great game feel and the art and audio is so polished for just a weekend of work. Only real critique is that it can be a bit punishing without an extra hit point or two and this had me playing it a bit slow and on the safe side. But the levels aren't too long so even the trickier sections didn't become a huge grind. I'm glad he found Rebecca!
Woah, I can’t believe you made those graphics and levels in just this much time. You even fit a storyline in! This is the first time I’m giving a game all 5 starts for creativity.
Thank you so much for this nice game!
getting past the beams were tough but really had fun playing this one! The music and atmosphere was great and the controls were perfect. Great job on this!! :D
I really liked your take on the theme. I also like its simple but effective art. Something I would change is making the light radius slightly larger, and having the helper robot stay relative to the player. Overall good jam entry!
