While browsing through the recently released public domain works, I'm having some trouble finding out whether any animated works were made public domain for the first time this year.  Does anyone have any more info or leads on animated works recently released into public domain?

I'm seeing some news reports that the Felix movies from 1923 just went public domain, but after diving deeper, it looks like those movies should have already been in the public domain.  Would any of the 1923 Felix the Cat films qualify for this game jam?
