Concerning Eric !

helloooo. first i wanna say i really love this game ! it's breathtaking (in more ways than one)

I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but for future reference.. concerning the fate of Eric. To be honest It doesn't look very good when it comes to  representing your lgbt audience through media since a majority of fictional lgbt characters (even implied ones) are killed off to use as a sad plot device to break/motivate (aka : i'm doing this all so his sacrifice won't be in vain..!) the other half of the relationship (in this case, Jon.) hence implying (even if its unintentional) that all homosexual relationships/feelings (even if it wasn't requited.) ultimately end in tragedy and there's nothing you can do about it.  I'm well aware this game is mostly story oriented and not romance based and that it's supposed to be sad, but it looks.... really bad.  I doubt this was the writers intention which is why i'm not personally mad, but to others (especially some of my mlm friends who have considered buying this game for this purpose, but ultimately didn't. :( ) have expressed disappointment that Eric's fate is set in stone and there is no way to make the two of them happy.  Even if people on game staff are themselves lgbt and find no issue with it... it looks like the only reason you added an lgbt arc into a story is to use it for heartbreak (to both the characters and us players). I really hope this doesn't upset anyone, but this is just for reference if you'll please consider this in the future...!

Hello crytyping, thank you for playing our game and your input. To be honest none of us had an intention to upset anyone in or outside the lgbt community, and we apologize if we did. It's just that we did needed something to grow Jon as a character and as cliche as it is, we did think that using Eric was the best and logical thing for the story and future fate of Jon (Yes, there is Jon in the next game, Lingering, although we can't explicitly state him as Jon, but those who played Amplitude should recognize him). Although that doesn't really justify the fact that we  did unintentionally make their romance into a cliche tragic gay story, but please know that we had no intention of offending the lgbt community and purely thought it was the best for plot sake and future plans.

Thank you so much for your input though, as we wouldn't have known it could be interpreted as a bad representation, if it weren't for your comment so thank you so much. We are genuinely grateful for your comment, and trust us when we say, WE WANTED THEM TO BE A COUPLE TOOOOOOOOO AAAAA, but alas, some dreams are just not meant to be.

Thanks again and sorry if our english isn't that good > <

If you wanted them to be a couple, you wouldn't have killed Eric off. So please don't BS us.
