I've read the modding guide and installed the mods correctly (or at least the Active Mods button in the mods menu tells me they are installed). I've installed Improved Portraits, BPV1, and Constants, in that order on my mac running MacOS High Sierra (ver 10.13.6). However, I still can't see any random portraits nor can I see a way to change constant values from the main menu. I've downloaded the latest version of Strive as well. Starting a new game doesn't do anything either. Could someone help me with this? 

I should also mention that I changed the default location for the mod folder. But all the mods are in the same directory. Does this matter?

The game tries to create a backup directory and in another thread errors seemed to spam about that. Wasn't 100% clear on cause, but it could be the different way things are packed on mac (pck file instead of a folder layout), or it could be some permissions issue, but in general it appears mod's definitely do not work on Mac.
