"...wow. How did you end up friends with my sister. She's so weird. Like she gets passing grades just fine but she always ruins it by getting kicked out of school. She's all weird about having people in her room, like she's hiding dead bodies or something. And sometimes, she's like really scary. But you're so nice."

Ruby comes in
"we're done. And before you go down there and start messing around, can you at least put your stuff away when you're done?"
"No."
"...if you put them away, I'll buy you that book you keep pestering me about?"
"hmm... what else?"
"Nothing. Either put your stuff away and get the book only the book or don't put it away and get nothing. End of story."
"...no."
"...ok then you're never ever ever ever ever ever getting that book until you're old enough to move out."
"...you'd do that?"
