Same problem here. Won't ever load past that screen.
Tried rebooting my pc, reinstalling itch different ways, and running in different comparability modes.
A fix would be appreciated.
I've opened an issue at https://github.com/itchio/itch/issues/2135 to get to the bottom of this. Please also reply there with all the info requested.
