I'll start off with what I liked about the game. I enjoyed the variety of environments, from a creepy walk through the woods to a satanic ritual in an apartment, I found the varying environments refreshing. I also enjoyed the story of the game, I know that story is meant to be determined entirely by the person playing it but I feel as though it's structured in an easy to follow fashion, I found it to be an interesting story of self sacrifice and eternal damnation for the betterment of someone close to you, but that's just me. Finally, I liked the overall atmosphere of the game, especially in the forest area where you can hardly see but you can hear so much going on around you, it's very disturbing and fits excellently in a horror game.
Now I'd like to go over some of the things I didn't like about the game, though I wouldn't consider either of these things to be a major issue. First off, at times my mouse felt really weird, floaty almost, in games I usually get this feeling when mouse acceleration or some other form of mouse "enhancement" is turned on, or when vsync is on/locked. The second and final issue I had was with the newspaper clippings and other written documents meant to provide context to the story, there were many grammatical errors which stood out to me immediately. Once again, both are minor issues and don't really hinder the overall gameplay experience.
Thankfully I encountered no bugs throughout my play time.
All in all, this is a solid horror title that offers an interesting yet sad story, a good variety of environments to explore and most importantly some great scares.
I hope you don't mind but I made a let's play of the game over my channel.
Cheers and best wishes.
