Neither XInput or DInput controllers are being recognised when i use the command /gamepad 1 etc. Yet it works on the normal version of the game, if anyone's still reading this any help would be appriciated.

This is a problem for me too...

try /gamepad 2 all the way to 4 for an xinput gamepad (xbox controller) and 5-12 for D input gamepads (playstation controllllers)
