(Two kingdoms, Reiynne and Voyena. One a militaristic tyranny, technological marvels pushing them over the edge and aiding them in achieving their imperialistic pursuits. The other a once beautiful kingdom falling into ruin, their rapidly dying wilderness protecting them but also isolating them from the rest of the world. Their magic weakens, their enemies encroaching on what's left of their sacred temples and ruins. A hundred year war with both kingdoms fairly evenly matched due to Voyena's difficult terrain, the kingdoms remain locked in a standstill, and the Dowager Queen of Reiynne grows impatient. An alliance is formed, a union of their two kingdoms. The Dowager Queen offers her son's hand in marriage in exchange for a merger of the two territories, and with Voyena's rapid collapse, there is no other choice but to accept this offer and offer their princess in return.
