Virgil woke with a start. He sat up and wailed, eyes squeezed shut as he grabbed his head with both hands
Dee accidentally rolled off the bed
“AGH! owwww”
His eyes darted open, frantically looking around the room. He began to hyperventilate, falling over the edge of the bed and hitting the cold stone floor.
“V VIRGIL! CALM”
He curled tightly into a ball, fingers twisted in his hair as he rocked back and forth, wheezing and crying
“god…he’s like m me-“
He sat next to him, comforting him
After several minutes, Virgil cracked his eyelids open and Dee lost all his breath-his eyes had grown so much more vibrant with his new life-
"o oh m- v virgli are you alright now?"
He shook his head, shaking, looking up at him with wild eyes
"E-Everything's so loud...w-why can't I hear my heartbeat!?"
“j just calm down…I I’m sorry…I had to do it…”
