All of the rendered backgrounds are work in progresses that I didn't get the chance to finish for the game jam so those will definitely be redrawn to match the drawn backgrounds at the start of the game. I will also be revamping the whole GUI, including the main menu. My goal would be to have an original design/art outside of game CGs for the main menu as well as a screen for collected CGs. I have gotten a few comments about the name font and color and that will also be changed to an original design (I used the game engine's default GUI since I ran out of time).
Embarrassingly enough, I forgot to research the dollar vs. pound situation. My line of thought was that since many countries today call their currency "country-name dollar" (US dollar, Canadian dollar, HK dollar, etc.), it would be alright to call a fictional country's currency such as well. But, you're right, a European country probably would not dollar as their currency. I'll be sure to fix that in the next release, thank you for pointing it out! ^^
