Love the art style, and the gameplay is really cool too!

You should really think about making a longer full fledged version of this, perhaps you could have a few bosses with bullet hell-like mechanics. Adding some characters (the bosses or such) which delivers the story, similar to the in between texts you have currently but more natural and interesting, adding a bit more to the story as well.

While we might add some  levels, (If we find some interesting twist or mechanics), it's really unlikely to come close from full fledged game for a multitude of reasons :s. As for the story, it's normal that it might look a bit underwhelming. We took less then a hour to write it and integrate it into the game XD.
