After a couple of hours I must say I am impressed. Art direction and music is absolutely amazing imo. As is the mutation system. Are you supposed to lose everything when you quit though, or is that an early access thing?
The actual shooting (with xbone controller) took some getting used to compared to other twin stick shooters, where my right stick is constantly at the edge adjusting my aim. If I try that here my cursor gets lost off screen and adjusting it is sluggish, but I am adapting. I get why controlling distance is important for nades and stuff, but trying to keep my cursor really on the enemies and dodging and shooting etc., made the combat a little less fluent than it could be, especially in the first hours. Could be me of course.
I like the enemies overall, although some of the rushing enemies seem just a little too fast (might be getting old tho =)). Not a huge fan of enemies popping up in previously cleared areas, but that's not a big deal.
Not exactly sure how the map works yet. It doesn't always seem to update.
Platforming with the dash is kind of tricky as it is, for me, not entirely sure why.
Would be nice to have sensitivity sliders for gamepads and the ability to adjust auto aim. I'm also having a bit of trouble getting a consistent fire rate with the pistol. You have to press the trigger down pretty far before it registers, it seems.
That's about it for now, hope it helps. Keep up the great work, excited to see where this one is going!
